What are your best practices for keeping your clients and business partners informed of your work availability, vacation time, and/or places you are? Do you use shared Google calendars, send updates through a newsletter, post vacation dates on your site, use Twitter, Brightkite?
Backtracking, is it even wise to get cartographic with your availability?
I’m flirting with the idea of Google cal since it has the advantage of transmutability, either embedding on my site or appending as link in an email (signature?). And while I’m not sure how much value it adds for a client specfiically, I like Brightkite as a way to keep your community updated on your whereabouts, particularly since it can send your updates to Twitter.
